Neoprint machines in Singapore kinda rocks~

| | TrackBacks (0)
I did this part-time job of bringing Japanese students around 2 weeks back. All I had to do was to bring students to places hat they wanted to go to in Singapore and then bring them back safely to the allocated meeting place. It's basically the same thing I did back in 2007. My first group was 5 boys from Tokyo Gakkan High School and of all places to go, they wanted to visit the Bird Park!!! Havent been to the Bird Park since I was like what, in primary school? It was pretty fun to go to the Bird Park after so many years but one thing that sucked was the fucking hot weather. Almost died under the merciless hot sun -___-. We only managed to go to one place of attraction because it takes at least one hour to travel there from Orchard and another hour was wasted on the way back. =(

The second group was 6 girls from Takasaki High School and the only place that they wanted to see was Bugis Street because according to their guidebook...Bugis Street is the Harajuku of Singapore. -________- wtf?! That's like such an insult to Harajuku for goodness sake. Anyway, brought them to see the Sri Mariman Temple first because their teacher wanted the student tour guides to do so. Was supposed to bring them to some other temples as well but seriously, nobody was interested in seeing temples. Walked around Chinatown and I'm so proud of myself for not getting lost! Okay, that's maybe because Qianli came over to help me so I didnt get lost. wtf. Meeting place was at Raffles Landing Site and up till then, I never knew that we had two Raffles statues in Singapore and neither did I know that the new Asian Civilisations Museum is near Raffles Landing Site. No matter what you are thinking now...I am 100% Singaporean okay! Just that I dont know much about Singapore...I should be so ashamed of myself. :(

On the 13th, we had this SB3-reunion-cum-farewell-to-Tommie thing at Lisa's house. Havent been to Lisa's house in ages and it was nice to meet up with my high school classmates after such a long time. Ate, talked and played Taboo. Taboo is like such a fun game and everyone really enjoyed it =D As it was the eve of Valentine's Day, Ray gave every girl there a stalk of rose. We were like "Thank you Ray" before he blurted out that those roses were leftovers from the roses sale at his school. wtf...but he paid for it anyway so, thank you! =D

On Valentine's Day, we had a Korean class gathering at Eileen's house. Last Valentine's, I spent it with my Korean class as well...wtf. We can seriously go cry or something...haha. Ate nasi lemak cooked by Eileen's maid and it was so freaking delicious =D After eating, we went for karaoke and it was so fucking expensive because it was a Saturday night. Bah...but it was fun anyway. =D

Today, I met up with Li Ming and Kymberlyn and I realised that this is actually the first time that we've gone out together as a trio. We also went to take neoprints, a first time for the three of us. :D So we went to this neoprint shop located in Cineleisure and we had to pay in JAPANESE YEN for the machine that we chose...wtf?! It was really tiring taking the neoprints because we had to take photos till the time ran out and we took 16 shots in the end. Cool thing about this machine is that you can send the photos to your cellphone via infrared now! When I was in Japan, I loved their neoprint machines because besides costing half the price of what it costs in Singapore, you can receive the neoprints in .jpg format via email or infrared. I was complaining to my Japanese friend that Singapore's not so high-tech yet and when I come back...VIOLA~ you can now send neoprints to your cellphone! Best thing is you can send ALL the photos that you decorated to your cell~ Whee~

Mid-term break's ending soon and my teacher just told us that we have a new assignment due on Monday...damn! Gotta unpack my boxes and luggages from Japan, Hong Kong and Taiwan or else my mum will never stop nagging...damn! Going to take a rest now~ Tata~

U-Weekly

| | TrackBacks (1)
Worked for 2 hours today at my father's place because the nurse was sick. As there weren't many walk-in patients and one of the patients who booked an appointment didnt turn up, I picked up a copy of U-weekly and started reading. If I didnt remember wrongly, it was a July 2007 issue. Old but since I havent read it before, it's okay. Flipped through and they were doing some feature on Hollywood's sexy starlets or something along the line and I saw this picture...

...and this.

Wait a minute, did Ashlee Simpson undergo surgery or something? How come she looks different in two pictures that have her names on them? WTF lo, the first one is Scarlett Johansson(I think) and the second one is obviously Jessica Simpson(I think). Seriously, if they cant even get the names of the celebrities correct, I think that they should not be publishing magazines. What's the editor doing anyway?

This is the section that I hate most in U-weekly. Wonder if they still have it or not. It's this section where they take photos of random people on the streets and comment on their outfits. Different people have different taste, I dont see why they keep adopting the irritating I'm-the-fashion-guru-so-you-MUST-listen-to-me tone. Sometimes, those outfits that they write extremely bad comments about, I think that they are nice and vice versa. Here, they said that it's not appropriate to wear Birkenstock(or the imitation ones) shoes to school but seriously, Singapore is damn hot and tons of people wear slippers because it's cooler than shoes. One of my lecturers wears slippers to school lo...HORRORS!!! Better not let U-Weekly see him...heh.

Enough of U-weekly. Flipped through the 2008 calendar and was quite wtf-ed by this picture.

Seriously, what's the link between Korea and the product they're trying to advertise about? Probably it's a Korean company but whatever la, doesnt make sense...to me at least.

School, school and more fucking school

| | TrackBacks (0)
My life's like revolving around school and it sucks because the project deadlines are approaching and very soon, I'll just merge and be like a part of school or something. Seriously, I'm so traumatised by school that I actually have dreams about school! Specifically of the Forensic Science coordinator giving a lecture on the breakdown of the marks. YES, that's how stressed out I am. Anyway, here are some pictures from school. Once again, I have no damn freaking life that every single photo in my phone is from school. Well, except for those idol pictures that I uploaded a few months ago.

Did some DNA translation thing for lab so Fiona and I were so wowed by the DNA model that we started taking photos...of the DNA. Yes, we are suaku people who probably looked like we never done Science before to the teaching assistant(TA). Talking of that teaching assistant, she was damn difficult to understand and she kept hurrying us although we had no clue as to what we were supposed to do. Seriously, when she's teaching, she keeps asking 'Do you understand?' in that better-say-you-know-or-you-can-go-and-die tone, so ya, no one dared to say that they didnt understand. Half the time I was rolling my eyes when she was teaching and the interesting thing was that one of my lab partners was doing the same thing too. I rarely talk to people I meet for the first time and that day we were gossiping about the teacher like we knew each other for ages. One thing I realise about some of the Science people, they are damn friendly. Then again, I guess you have to be friendly when doing lab because I'm sure you dont want to get sabo-ed during lab.

Anyway, here's the double-helix DNA.

Had to make the amino acid model and I was like copying every single step on the paper till the extent that I dont even know what amino acid I was making. Talking about making the model, the notes that we had were black and white and the notes that the TA had was coloured so it was easy for her to make the model. She was like so cross when we took damn long to recognise the parts of the model. Fuck, I hate TA who have that I-dont-want-to-teach-you-but-I-have-to-and-it-sucks attitude. Then dont be TA la!

Fiona's amino acid model.

The DNA translation process. Done manually. Supposed to follow every single step in the instructions but it was so stupid because we were doing it manually that we just took the short cut and just plucked out every single part that was redundant instead of faithfully moving it though the paper ribosome.

Cant remember the name of this experiment but we were supposed to separate DNA. Of course la, we didnt actually get to use real DNA but instead used dyes, so it was like chromatography. Somebody in my lab group broke the agarose gel so we had to re-do this thing and in the end, we were the last to leave. Whatever la actually because we still left half-an-hour earlier.

The dyes. We actually got to look at glo-fish too but forgot to take photos. Damn pretty. Also, the TA this time round rocked. Damn nice person.

Went to work yesterday and was informed of the new fee hike. WTF is wrong with the company la? Fee hike again? That's like twice in a less than half a year since the gst increase. The reason that they gave for increasing the fees was almost as stupid as Starhub's cable TV. In order not to offend my company, let me give you the reason Starhub stated for raising their fees. They said that they never raised their fees before and since they have been adding so many new channels, they have to increase their fees (to cover cost). The last bit in the bracket was what my company said, not what Starhub said. Stupid right?! Nobody is going to care if you cant cover your own cost. What's more, it's their own fault anyway. I was totally dissing the fee hike issue in front of the CCTV camera at work and accidentally commented that the letter given out sounded as if it was written by a primary school kid. Anyone has any job recommendations? I probably need a new job soon. :D

Went shooting last night for hy's school project. It was like DAMN fun. Great break from being tormented by school and work! Thanks for asking me along~! Oh, and I got to know lots of new places in Singapore!

So, my sister is in the hospital now because of pneumonia. Hope she's alright. Damn worried when I heard that she was in the hospital but not knowing the reason why. I just realised I'm actually quite nice.

Cutting Cost

| | TrackBacks (0)
Was watching Goto Maki on Re:MTV (why do they call it Re:MTV anyway? It's so cheesy when they have sections that's starts with Re:.) just now. The way she was talking on the show sounded seriously like how Ayaya talks, except at a lower pitch. I could just shut my eyes and think that it's Ayaya on the show. She didnt use to talk like that in the past. Then again, she didnt use to act sexy or have big boobs in the past. However, I still kind of like her songs. :D

Watched episode 7 of Sexy Voice and Robo just now and it was damn hilarious! It's a wonder how I ended up falling in love with the show that I did not have high expectations for it in the first place. I am fickle-minded.

So the mid-semester break is finally here. Man, I've waited for this break for soooo freaking long. I really need the rest...although I suspect I wont get anyway. :(

Went to work yesterday and saw the new colleague. The new colleague's supposed to be in charge of selling stationery. Normally it would be good idea to have someone to be soley in charge of stationery if you are operating a bookstore. Then again, the place I'm working at is a tuition centre where people go to learn new knowledge and not to buy pens and pencils. Ok, occasionally we have little kids who buy them but...only a small handful do that! Why waste money hiring someone to sell stationery when the company keeps harping on cutting cost?! Somemore the new colleague was so bored that she ended up drawing pictures :( Is this cutting cost? No! This is just so stupid. They ask unqualified tutors like us to relief a class at a mere $10 per lesson because they want to save on hiring a qualified relief tutor but dont mind hiring a stationery seller who has nothing to do half the time. This is just absurd! I'm seriously going to decline reliefing classes from now onwards.

I'll end this short and meaningless post with pictures of food :D

Some eggplant macaroni I ate at Waraku. Damn good!

Sun and Moon's Macha Parfait. A bit pricey but worth every bit of the money. The taste is so matcha-y that it rocks! The best part, it has lots of shiratama in it and everyone knows that I love shiratama/dango/chewy stuff. What's the difference between shiratama and dango by the way? Besides the flour used to make it.

Forgot the name of this dessert but I ate it at Bistro Delifrance. It's some strawberry ice-cream + yam ice-cream + coconut + cherry dessert. The ice-cream was like the normal ice-cream you get to eat anywhere but I hated the cherry.

I'm a sucker for mussels with cheese so this seafood baked rice at Bistro Delifrance was positively amazing. Loved every single bit of it, even the pi-man.

Going to visit the high court tomorrow. Not that excited as I thought I would be when I signed up for it.

Late for Work

| | TrackBacks (0)
Woke up at 9.30am yesterday. Usually, it's okay if I wake up at like 2pm but yesterday was different...because...I had work at 9.30am! In addition, I was the only one holding the keys so ya, it was really bad. I had to run all the way from the MRT station to my workplace and surprisingly I managed to reach at 9.45am. Whew!

Went out with the Hiroshima Internship people at night. Ate at Sushi Tei located at Takashimaya. OMG, never knew that it was so popular. We had to wait for around 30 mins before we got a seat.

Kimchi and gyoza. Had a craving for gyoza but this gyoza was really too oily for comfort.

The ebi-don. Hmm...dont know what to say. Wasnt that nice after all.

Hatachi

Before meeting hy to sing karaoke today, I went shopping for clothes. Yes, I know I should stop buying new clothes but just cant help la, the 50% discount sign never fails to attract me. I am cheapo.
Anyway, went to this shop where all the dress sizes were freaking small. It's not small as in cannot fit in kind of small. It's like just nice everywhere except cannot zip all the way to the top. I already quite flat-chested still cannot zip, so ya, that dress is like made for people for no boobs. Idiotic la, the dress was damn nice, not to mention cheap.

So ya, karaoke was as usual fun because I can sing the songs although I tend to sing out of tune. I cant sing songs properly without the digital analog. Sorry hy, haha. While singing some song that I cant remember, I managed to sing through at least half of it before realising that I did not switch on the mike. Before realising, I was wondering what the hell happened to the mike. One thing I dont like about Japanese songs karaoke is that the PV shown is never the original one and it's always some weird videos shown. I've seen many weird videos before but today's ones were like the best of all.

While singing Hamasaki Ayumi's July 1st, there was a woman clad in bikini jumping all about. How distracting...

In Chage and Aska's Meguri Ai, the video was even worse! The video was practically AV...Even more distracting.

After karaoke, we went shopping and ate at Pizza Hut. The two of us managed to eat 35+ worth of food and I felt seriously bloated after the meal. So ya, went shopping to digest...and ended up buying a bottom and jacket which was yup, if you have already guessed it, 50% off. :D

Yup, yesterday was my 20th birthday(yea, I know I am old). Kymberlyn celebrated with me the day before at Ritz Carlton. So long never do high tea le~! I really loved the mango pudding and salmon thingy there. So delicious. The tea strainer was damn cute and I actually contemplated stealing it home. Thanks Kymberlyn for the wonderful birthday present, loved it~! Oh ya, I realised that we forgot to take a picture together...arr.

Just people also celebrated my birthday with me yesterday~. They used the supposed-to-turn-up-but-everyone-pang-seh-you kind of ruse to bluff me saying that no one could make it. Erm, but I sort of knew it beforehand. Heh heh, am I clever or what? Ok, I lied. Actually I knew it because when Weiqi sent me birthday sms, she accidentally typed it in. :D Anyway, ate at Waraku where the portions served there were like kee-siao kind of big. Everything is like extra-to-the-power-of-ten kind of large portion lo! Then there was this paper steamboat called kami-nabe in Japanese and somehow everyone just pronounced it as kaninabe. -_-

We ate there for like around 4 hours. Damn power right. When we reached the restaurant, it was lunch hour so it was packed. We ate from when the restaurant was packed till it was empty, to the extent that even the staff there changed shifts. We totally rock. After the long long la la lunch, we went to Cineleisure to meet up with Sherie before going to watch a movie. Watched Battle of Wits by Andy Lau. Never really liked Andy Lau when I was young but now I think that he's damn charismatic. He got that as-he-grows-older-he-becomes-more-handsome face. It's not fair lar. Battle of Wits was damn good but it reminded me of Troy~.

Dinner was at the Hongkong cafe in Cineleisure. The food there really rocks and it's not that expensive~ After dinner, Sherie and Tony accompanied me till 12+ ~ Somemore afterwards, they sent me home although the taxi passed by their houses first. Domo arigatou gozaimashita~! Also, thanks to all those who wished me happy birthday~! I really appreciated that!

The birthday cake ~

Me and birthday cake.

The $14.80 fruit platter. Seriously, if it wasnt complimentary, I would not have ordered this.

Oishii~

The menu that schon will like~ heh

Karen looking professional with that omg camera.

Posing for neoprints on the escalator.

Note to self : Grow taller.

This picture is damn funny. It looks like as if Sherie is unhappy with us for acting siao. Haha.

Outside John Little~

Ok, as usual, more pictures over in the gallery~.

Team Building 2007

| | TrackBacks (0)
Team Building 2007 took place yesterday. Supposed to assemble at 11am but went late like last year. Met up with most of the JE people at Leonard house in the morning. WTF la, 8.50am...so early. Anyway, I played pool for the first time there. :D Man, pool is seriously damn difficult can. I cant even start the game properly and so the best way to play the game is to...cheat! Hehe, I used my hands more than the cue throughout the game. So yea, I won~ How not to win? If cheat still can lose, I might as well go and die...haha.

After pool, sang Karaoke with Fiona and Karen. As usual, as I dont listen to Chinese songs, I only managed to sing one miserable song before proceeding to zone out and took photos of..myself. Yup, I am so narcisstic~. ^_^

Oh ya, by the way, have I mentioned that I dont like people telling me that I should try listen to Chinese songs? First of all, most of the Chinese songs one gets to hear in Singapore are Taiwan Chinese songs and since I hate the Taiwan entertainment industry, why should I force myself to listen to them? Secondly, what's wrong with listening to solely Japanese and Korean songs? I like it and it's my business, thank you very much.

Used my Mac to take weird, distorted photos. When I say distorted...I really do mean like twisted in weird ways. Funny like mad.

Proceeded to watch Borat. Heard lots of reviews about it but have never watched it. Before watching it, I seriously thought that nothing can be more disgusting than Borat's bathsuit that basically doesnt cover anything but his manhood. I was wrong. The part where he and the Azmat guy were fighting was really sick man. Who the fuck fights totally naked?! It was so freaking long(no pun intended) and the black box that was supposed to black out Borat's exposed organ was so over-exaggerated can! WTF la. Then again, the show was really quite interesting.

After the movie, finally proceeded to join in the Team Building. I seriously thought that it was lunch time already but unluckily, they were still in the midst of playing games. The reason why I did not want to arrive so early is because I wanted to refrain from playing games. I've never like camp nor camp-like games. Plus, I dont believe in teamwork games. Anyway, arrived already cannot say dont want to play so no choice had to join. The first game was when each group had to get all the members onto a piece of paper that will shrink as the difficulty level increases. I seriously regreted saying that I dont mind people stepping on my leg. The person who stepped on my leg really used all of her strength to do so. I thought that my leg was going to break and it hurt like mad after the game ended. Ow. Second game was using ropes to move tennis balls, waste-paper basket, bucket and whatsoever, so as to exemplify teamwork. So yea, wasnt really involved in this game.

Lunch was up next and since we did not eat, Fiona and I continued the photo-taking session. Hehe, I really love this photo. It has a sketch-book-y feel to it.

After lunch, went to West Mall. Played table hockey till my arm almost broke. Somemore today, went with Fiona to the arcade again and played Japanese drums and basketball. My arms are like on the verge of breaking already. Talking about the Japanese drums game, it was so cool! The song selection was so good. There were songs like Doraemon theme song, Ne~e? by Ayaya, Valenti by BoA, Darling by V6 and many more. I think I sang more than I played the game. Hehe. The result of the basketball game was so paiseh can...

Game 1...34?!

Game 2...At least improved le but as compared to the high score, really sucked. Haha.

Anyway, moving back to Team Building, the night was left for the various groups to showcase their dance routines which they have been practising for a long time. First up was Team S.

The beautiful fan dance that basically covered the star who was in the middle.

Lao Hong. The guy who has no money to do rebonding. Damn funny can!

Yue Lao and He Xian Gu. Poor Yue Lao, 'he' has no pants to wear.

This play started out interesting but as time went by, I was thinking, 'When is this going to end?!' Luckily they ended before I dozed off. Following them was Team U.

Once again, George stole the limelight of the day.

This group's dance was like superb! Everyone was like really good.

Team J was next.

The two guys playing George and Mr Peh. Height reversal...

The sexay lady showing off her back...is a guy. Wah lau eh...how can anyone be this skinny?!

The fans of Team J...Or rather, part of Team J, the JE branch. Hehe, so favouritism.

Last team to perform was Team T.

WTF Swan Lake.

Kenny and Francis were like damn funny in this play.

During the period where the judges went off to decide on the winning team...it was time for photo-taking!

I was standing behind the stereo when this photo was taken. Almost went deaf.

JE people~!

Sherie, Michelle, Regina.

This post is getting so picture post so anyway, Team U won in the end. For more pictures, please proceed to the gallery as usual. :D Tomorrow's TS practical exam, wish me luck!

Relaxing

| | TrackBacks (0)
OMG...it's Friday the 13th!!! Whatever, like I care...

Projects done, recess week's next week, should be feeling a little more nervous because exams are coming soon but on the contrary, I'm feeling so relaxed. I think I deserve to relax...at least for this week because this week was really kind of bad. Finished the 5000 JS2101 essay in one day(woo hoo~!), had presentations and JS2203 paper was also due this week. Not to mention LAJ3201's final exams took place this whole week. Oral Communication was really bad but whatever la, I think the written paper will somehow pull my marks up. :D

Anyway, today was the official last lesson of LAJ3201 and it's probably the last time I'm going to see most of my classmates as the majority of them are Year 3 and 4 students. Plus, I'm barred from taking LAJ3202 so I wont see most of them anymore. Kind of sad because of all the modules I've taken, this is the module that I really like...although the 7 hours per week thing was a little taxing.

So ya, went out with Just people last Friday. Once again, I guess you can call it an "illegal outing" because no one informed the superiors that we had an outing. Then again, who cares? Everyone does private outings lo...I think. Lunch was at Jack's Place. Can't believe that it was Huixin's first time there. Then again, who am I to comment? I went to Kbox the first time when I was like, 18. Shermaine ordered...escargots there! OMG, I've never seen escargots before, let alone eat them. I never knew that snails could be so wonderfully delicious. It was like freaking good!

After lunch, we went to Kbox...where they sang from like 5 plus to 10pm for only $20+. That's like really cheap. As usual, I didnt really sing much except when there was Japanese songs. Speaking of Japanese songs at Kbox...the selection sucks big time and Kbox people obviously cannot spell the word "Japanese".

Plus, out of 10 Japanese songs, only 1 has the singer's name written there. How the hell am I supposed to select the song when in the first place I dont even know the singer of the song. And, some of the Japanese song names are like blanked out. For example, if you want to select Morning Musume's 'Iroppoi Jirettai', assuming they have it, it will appear like that --> 'IroXX JireXX', where XX represents blanks. WTF right. In addition to that, the Japanese song selection is like so freaking old, and they dont even have the latest songs. Sianz, that's why I prefer Diamond Dust although it's like way more expensive.

Took photos in Kbox but most of the photos turned out blurry and dark, and I looked really bad in most of them. When I mean bad, I mean like...horrible. Let's do a comparison.

This picture would have had been nice, if not for the bluriness.

Finally, a clear picture...but I look so UGLY can. Like some hum-sup lo like that. (ToT)

On Wednesday, went with Fiona and Sharon to watch the ... PHANTOM OF THE OPERA. OMG, I wanted to watch this from like dont know how many donkey years ago. There was this questionnaire there and one question was asking on how long before have you heard about the POTO. The longest option they had there was...6 months to 1 year ago. -_-, hello, we are not so ignorant ok. Anyway, the performance was really good and the singing was like OMG freaking good. There was a slight technical glitch when the phantom's voice got cut off during the part where the phantom brings Christine to his dungeon. Other than that, the effects were awesome. However, the ending parts of each act was really...sad. We were all like waiting with batted breath to see how the chandelier will fall and in the end, the chandelier fell like as if it was in slow-motion. This was the ending for Act 1 and it was quite...wtf. Ending for Act 2 was worse because it ended with Christine's friend holding up the Phantom's mask. Ok, probably it's to mean something...but it's so anti-climax can! However, if I had the chance, I will definitely go see it again.

Brought along my camera to the Esplanade in case there are like shuai-ges to take photos of. Sadly, there wasnt any but there were like TONS of ang-mohs there. If I were a SPG, I will definitely hang around Esplanade during this period of time when POTO is still showing. Wanted to buy souvenirs but they were like so freaking expensive. Bought the booklet and it cost me $25! When I went to watch Titoudao, the booklet was only $5 ok. See the price difference? Fiona was like so cute...she wanted to buy the Phantom's mask which cost like $30 to keep as a momento. OMG, luckily she didnt do that but she was seriously contemplating to do so. After that, we took photos outside Esplanade and I think we were the only group who took the longest to do so. However, the photos turned out nice! Yay~

Anyway, my connection has been dead for the past week so I'm like bored till I went to buy the Mr Bean series to watch. Arrgh...my life is boring~ Donna, please go somewhere fun this Sunday. I've been stuck at home from like last Saturday till Tuesday because of idiotic projects and tests.

-_-

TS meeting was slated to be at 10am today. As usual, no one was early except Fiona and me. Yay, why are people so irritating? I seriously dont mind people being late but I do mind when they are late for more than 1 hour. If you tell me you're late because you had to rush out a paper, I will forgive you because I understand how tiring it is to do a paper. However, if it is other reasons like 'I overslept' or dont even bother saying sorry or explaining yourself, please go slap yourself before I do it for you. My time is as precious as yours. I'm as sleepy as you. Why should I wait for you for more than 1 hour when I could have had slept in a little longer?

On a lighter note, my teacher commented that I was 'kawaii' today. Waa, so happy~! Kheng Hui said that the teacher probably has some problems with her eyes...-_- Then when I replied that the teacher doesnt wear spectacles, Kheng Hui went 'That's why.' -_- || Haha, okay, that was funny... :D

Got to go do my homework...or go watch television le. :D Bye~

Edit: Didnt realise that Just uploaded the photo taken during CNY 2007 celebration. Hee~

Read through my archives and realised that my life's really boring after entering uni. I bore myself with the recent entries I made and wonder why do people even bother to read. Haha, anyway, today's entry wont be boring...I hope. :D

Stood in for Karen at work today. Surprisingly, I felt that work was really relaxing, totally different from the mind-draining school schedule. However, I must admit that I was rather zoned out at work today. I was so tired till the extent that I mistook the puncher for the mouse and was furiously shaking it while wondering why it wasnt working. Yea, wtf right. Next, I called Gombak to look for Huixin and even when they told me that Huixin wasnt working today, I insisted she was as she called me earlier. Upon further questioning, I realised that she was working...but in the block next to mine. Paiseh~ Oh, and I almost managed to crush my leg by putting my leg right under the shutters while closing them. (ToT)

There was this irritating China parent at work today. When told that there wont be any makeup for public holidays, he straight away went into his why-the-fuck-isnt-there-makeup-its-so-unfair-to-my-child speech. He was there when I started doing this clinic session with the Sec 4 guy. He was STILL there after I finished the session. Man, he was there for more than half an hour...while incessantly harping on the makeup issue. How irritating can one parent be? All the teachers were damn interested in knowing what was going on and that man's poor son was looking so paiseh throughout the whole thing. I mean, yea, I will feel paiseh too if my parent did that. If I were him, I would have had slapped my parent on the spot and asked him to shut his trap...Ok, probably I wont because I'm normally the one complaining. Then again, I complain with reason, unlike that idiotic parent. Through this incident, I must say that I really admire Sherie's communication skills. She was the one who managed to make the parent go away. She went something along the line of 'Please give me a chance to bring this matter up with my superior, please give me this chance to do so. You must understand that superiors normally do a 5-day-week so I plea with you to give me a chance to contact them. Why dont you go down for a cup for tea first while I call my superiors? Thank you, thank you for gracing our centre with your presence. Thank you for coming.' While saying this, she was like diao-ing the parent which the parent didnt see because his eyes were staring intently at the rules and regulations as if trying to find more stuff to elaborate on. Sherie rocks~! The parent couldnt exactly say that she was rude because her way of chasing him was extremely polite. I need to learn from her~

Actually I think I've been quite lucky at work considering that out of the 1 year plus there, I've never spoken to a parent as irritating as this. Ok, maybe on the phone but never face-to-face. Poor Weiqi got such a parent the last time and she cried afterwards because the parent was really harsh. Today's parent was handled by Tony. Damn suay considering he's new. If I think carefully, normally when these kind of irritating parents appear in person, I'm always not at work or I'm not the person handling them. There used to be this im-so-gao-gui parent who came on Sunday mornings to make trouble but since I used to start work on Sundays in the afternoon, I never got to see her. Then there was this file-stealer-cheapo-parent whom I never got to see but got the opportunity to teach her son. Ya, there are always weird people around~. Tony kept saying that I look like Xiaxue...where got?! First of all, she has curly hair and I have straight something-that-looks-like-straight hair. Obviously no one agreed with him...haha. Seriously, why do I always get said that I look like someone? People whom I have been said to resemble:

1) Lisa
2) Mdm Quek
3) Rosemary
4) Kymberlyn
5) Some idol superstar or whatever whom I dont even know who she is.
6) Xiaxue.
7) Brad Pitt. (Ya, wth right.)

Went to Jurongpoint with Shermaine, Huixin, Leonard and Tony after work. OMG, I so really miss talking rubbish...Havent been doing that in uni. Talking rubbish in uni is rather boring as it always involve some form of school-related matter...Let me give some examples on the differences in what I talk rubbish about in JC, work and uni.

4) Happy-zai.
5) Anything else under the sun~
OMG, I used to use so many codenames in JC. Haha...I miss JC so much. Should I go to Australia this hols with them?

Just received an email from my Japanese teacher and she's asking me to join this thingy between some China university and Keio University...wonder what that is anyway. I also signed up for the Hiroshima internship thingy and I really hope I get it even though that I know that chances are really slim considering that I am year 1 and my results suck. Wish me luck~

My father's going to sleep soon so he's going to chase me out of his room soon...so ya, I'll write until here. Ja~
