Valentine's Day

| | TrackBacks (0)
Had a really sucky Valentine's Day for the first half of the day. Kept getting scolded and pissed off by people in school. Really bad day. :(

The later half of the day was better because I finally got to meet up with my long-time-no-see ex Korean classmates! I think we havent had a full gathering like this for like what...8 months or so? Great to see that everyone's still as kee siao as ever. :D Ate at this Korean restaurant called Togi which is located at East Coast. I think that they have another branch at Chinatown. As usual, we were like the noisiest bunch of people there, laughing at volumes enough to deafen the whole of Singapore (obviously exaggerating here).

(Top Left) Chicken Ramyun. Okay, it was actually served in a stone hot pot but we divided it into 5 portions so just try to imagine how it originally looked like. Just x5 and add in a stone hot pot to your imagination. :D
(Top Right) My favourite Korean food, ddeokppeoki!!! I've never tasted ddeokppeoki like this before and it's super-duper nice. Can someone teach me how to make ddeokppeoki so I can make it every single day? Haha.
(Bottom Left) Chapchae. This chapchae looked different from the chapchae they normally serve at the Singapore Korean School when there are functions going on but it still tasted good too. Although chapchae is like the favourite Korean dish for like many Singaporeans I know who eat Korean food, I dont really chapchae that much.
(Bottom Right) Pork Bibimbap. Doesnt bibimbap normally have an egg in it? Anyway, delicious but could've been more delicious if we did not forget to mix in gochujang. The pork was also very tender and juicy. :D

(Top Left) Kimchi Jigae with tuna. First time I tasted Kimchi Jigae with tuna. The tuna made the soup more palatable than the normal ones that have beef/chicken/pork in them. As this was placed right in front of me, I was in charge of dividing it into 5 equal portions. Everyone basically laughed at my lousy dividing skills. :(
(Top Right) Kimchi pancake and Potato pancake. Didnt really eat the Kimchi pancake because I was already damn full by that time but the Potato pancake was great. Tasted like french fries. Whee~
(Bottom) Chicken Bibimbap. This time, Ann remembered to add in gochujang so it was wonderlicious~!

Proof that the food was great. We rock man.

Since it was Valentine's Day, Felie gave each of us a flower and a packet of chocolates. Gomapda! Tried to stick the flower behind Eileen's ear but to no avail. Why is she trying to eat the flower anyway?! Hahaha.

(Back) Ann, Felie, Peggy
(Front) Me, Eileen

Halfway through eating, I felt a little tug on my hair and as I turned back, I realised that it was the lady boss who was tugging at my hair playfully. -_- Haha, so cute~! Apparently Ann and the lady boss are damn friendly with each other and it was quite funny seeing Ann trying to explain to her what 'pai ti kong'(Praying to the Jade Emperor, something that the Hokkiens do during CNY) meant.

Me and the lady boss. :D
