H1N1 in Japan

| | TrackBacks (0)
Okay, seriously...wtf! Before I came to Japan for my holiday, there were no cases of H1N1 yet. Then, on the second day that I arrived in Japan, 3 cases popped out. I was in Hiroshima at that time when it happened. A week after I travelled to Hyogo, there is a sudden breakout of H1N1 in Kobe, which is basically part of Hyogo...wtf. There are also apparently cases in Osaka as well and I'm staying right smack in the middle of both Kobe and Osaka.
Yesterday, the H1N1 count was 5 in Japan and all of a sudden, it rose to a whopping 96 today. Guess what's the shittiest thing? I was near Kobe yesterday and I was out partying at Osaka for most of the week. Fuck, I hope that I didnt catch the virus. Due to the sudden outbreak, Kangaku's closed for a week and I have to cancel plans that I've made with my friends and wear a mask now everywhere I go. Then again, I guess it's the best thing that I can do now to avoid getting the virus. I can finally make good use of the thermometer that I brought with me to Japan. =D

On a lighter note, I've been going out almost everyday since I came to Hyogo.
Wednesday: Coffee Hour at Kangaku(Nishinomiya) and dinner at this pizza place.
Thursday: Shopping with Kanami and the combined birthday party with Robyn at Umeda, Osaka.
Friday: Takoyaki party at Kana's house(Nishinomiya).
Saturday: Lasse's birthday party at Ouji Koen(which is like almost Kobe) and dinner at this Turkish restaurant(Osaka).
Sunday: Mifune Matsuri at Kyoto and a little birthday party at home.

So far, I've been to all the places that have been infected...Kobe, Nishinomiya and Osaka. FML.

Hope that they dont cancel the concert on the 29th though...

Went to Liang Court last Wednesday with Donna to celebrate the end of my first exam...What? Who says that you can only celebrate after the end of all exams? Anyway, reason why I chose Liang Court was because I wanted to go to the Ramen Fair at Meidi-ya and only after I said it then I realised that the Ramen Fair only starts on the first of May...wtf. We werent decided on what to eat when I saw a leaflet for Saizeriya and I was like "OMFG, they have Saizeriya in Singapore?! Let's go!". Prices there are relatively cheap but there are fewer choices on the menu as compared to the one in Japan.

Didnt order the drink bar because we figured that we dont drink that much anyway but this couple next to us really made full use of the drink-all-you-can drink bar. They kept refilling their cup after a pretty heavy meal...I hate people who can eat/drink alot and still stay skinny...God is not fair...wtf. Lots of Japanese mums and their kids there that day and the kids were so freaking cute! Wanted to pinch their cheeks but yea, they might haul me off to the police station...Dont want to risk that.
Had escargots for starters.

My cheese gratin that had lots of cheese in it. Damn yummy but I couldnt finish it....:(

Donna acting cute Part 1...but failed at making the peace sign. Probably because I was too slow in pressing the shutter.

Donna acting cute Part 2

Donna acting cute Part 3

Oops...that's not Donna. wtf. We were browsing through books in Kinokuniya where we came across this Tokyo Look or something and he's on the first page. Laughed our heads off because he looks damn hilarious.
Walked around Meidi-ya but didnt buy anything because we were too lazy to lug all the stuff back home so we decided to go and have a tea-break at Azabu Sabo. Had some ice-cream with hotballs...wtf.

Next, we went to Bugis to walk because the rush hour crowd was just horrible and I bought the 1964/65 The Addams Family DVD there. I'm seriously hooked onto that show...Finished 22 episodes in one day. wtf...and I'm supposed to be studying for my exams lo. =D
Had dinner at Ma Maison, a restaurant that I've been dying to try. The food was good but I had to wait kinda long for my Hayashi Rice. Oh, and the mushrooms thing was freaking good. Lotsa cheese, damn sinful, damn long wait but guess what, I dont care. It was just heavenly. :D

Have been eating too much of late...I think it's due to exam stress...-_-.
