Met Professor Ito and 2 of his students for lunch yesterday in school. Usually, I spend around 300~400yen on school food but yesterday because Prof Ito treated us, I had the luxury of eating a 1800+yen meal...for free. :D It was so freaking good~! Gochisousamadeshita~!

After lunch, I went to Sakasegawa with Tiffany and Sara. Sakasegawa is like 2 train stops away from my school and I usually take the train there because that stop is included in my train ticket. However, instead of taking the train...we freaking WALKED there yesterday. wtf. Not exactly sure how long but we certainly did take a long time to reach there. Then again, because we walked there, I got to stop and see many other places around that area that I dont normally notice. Along the way there, I suddenly had this urge to pee and I was practically running towards the toilet when I finally found one after walking for god-knows-how-long. :P

Accompanied my friends to the Sports Depo today because they needed to buy some hiking stuff. Saw this pretty interesting sign in the shop. "No change without purchase"...of course lar! wtf. Anyway, the Chinese translation means something totally different from the English one...-____-

There was a cutout of Kitajima Kousuke outside the shop so I erm...erm...went to pose with it. People were seriously giving me weird stares while I was doing it...Cannot ar?!

After a very delicious Macdonald's meal, we went for our school's Gakuensai(school festival). One good thing about going today was that it's a weekday so there werent too many people there. Bad thing was that the fireworks performance's tomorrow and Ikimonogakari is coming on Monday.

Belly dance performance that caught the eyes of many guys...A-ber-then?!

Food sold at the gakuensai was freaking expensive...seriously, would you pay 200yen for a miserable stick of yakitori?! Everything was so expensive that we ended up doing stuff that didnt require a single yen. Hehe, we are so cheapo. Firstly, we went to create our very own ecobag~ Nice right! I even printed my name on it...wait...that's damn kiddy lar! :( Made handphone straps too but I forgot to take a photo..oops~

Had our pictures drawn by some law students...of course for free lah. The female artists drew everyone freaking manga-ish but the male artists drew more realistic pictures. Mine...obviously not very manga-ish was drawn by a guy...who was kinda cute by the way. Hahaha.

While getting my picture drawn, I read this booklet done by the Law Students' Council and they listed interesting laws made around the world. There were 2 from Singapore which I didnt even know that the laws existed...FAIL!!!

Next, we folded paper cranes. Were supposed to write a message before folding it but I had no idea what to write so I just scribbled "World Peace" onto it...-_-. Then this guy came along to teach us how to fold the crane and I realised that I've been folding paper cranes in different way all along. Anyway, that guy forgot how to fold the crane halfway through and Connie had to take over...who's the teacher again?! The guy seriously talked alot while teaching us how to fold the crane but at least he was funny...or so I thought. Connie found him irritating though....-_________________-.

Mail from "Bonyo"~...not "Ponyo" okay! wtf.

(Left to right) My crane with the retarded head, the guy's crane with an almost invisible tail, Connie's pretty crane.

Saw some performance while on our way out.

Still wondering if I should go for the fireworks tomorrow...hmmm...Anyway, more pictures here:

Had Coffee Hour today and it was seriously boring...for me at least. Most of the exchange students showed up with their Nihongo partners or already have friends there so it was basically quite difficult for me to interact with anyone there. Then again...I dont care. Lalala...I'm just there because I have to be there or else I wont be able to receive my scholarship money. Heh. :D Dragged poor Tiffany along with me and she ended up having to do self- introduction in front of everybody. Seriously, I've done self-introductions so many times here that I'm tired of doing it again. I should just paint my name, school and country across my forehead so it's easier for people to see. Anyone wants to give me a free tattoo?

Saw this package for me when I arrived home today. Upon looking at the handwriting, I knew straight away that it was from my sister. See, I am so lihai! I should work for the Forensic Department in the future man. Haha.

Ripped open the package and realised that it was filled with sweets~all except my favourite Haribo gummy bears!!! Oi, why never send me? Then again, there's Frutips and the dinosaur sweets...hehe. I'm so going to get a toothache. wtf.

Reason number 2 as to why I'm going to get a toothache soon. Ate donuts that my host sister bought last night for supper. Then during dinner today, I had like donuts and at least 3 types of wagashi(Japanese sweets). Plus, I've been eating sweets in class to keep myself from dozing off...I seriously want Starbucks!

Saw this at the Kotoen station and thought that I would snap a photo and show it to hy. Turned out that she has already seen it before...waste my effort! Haha.

Went to cut my hair last week. For the first time in dont-know-how-many-donkey-years, I finally have a fringe and I did not rebond my hair. So my hair's now pretty wavy and I look freaking kiddish with my short fringe. Some uncle actually mistook me for a high school student...wtf. I'm now deciding whether to rebond my hair or not...suggestions please!

Pretty short entry because I'm freaking tired...Shall update tomorrow or on Friday since it's the school holidays~Whee~

I'm sleeeepy!

For some reason or another, I've been really sleepy these few days. I slept in class yesterday for one whole freaking hour can! Can't believe that I slept in class for such a long period of time. Oh wait, did I forget to mention that one class is only 1.5hours long? So yar, I basically slept for two-thirds of a class. wtf. Then for the following class, I slept for at least half-an-hour because the teacher showed us a Bunraku video. Firstly, it's effing difficult to understand what the narrator's singing and secondly, some bloody tall person was seated in front of me. Couldn't understand, couldnt see the screen nor the subtitles and plus the classroom was freaking dark, so I erm...dozed off. Seriously you cant blame me. :P.

Slept early last night but guess what, I'm still sleepy. I've been pretty active these few weeks and I think that the feeling of fatigue's finally getting to me. Back in Singapore, the only times when I get out of the house is when I have class or when I meet up with friends, which is like once every few weeks. Even when I go for classes, my mum fetches me so I basically dont have to do much walking. However in Japan, I go out every single freaking day, even on days when I dont have classes. I take about an hour to commute to school and out of that one hour, 40minutes goes to walking so, to-and-fro, I walk for a total of 80minutes. OMG! Then on days when I go out, I do alot of window shopping...which means I walk alot again. My legs freaking hurt can! And my body aches. Aaah! I'm so going to laze in bed the whole day this weekend. Then again, I have freaking lots of homework...damnit!

Emailed NUS regarding some internship thingy which they sent last week but when I opened the document, it's stated there that the deadline's last month. WTF is wrong with NUS lar?! The last time they sent us an opening about a translator job, the deadline had already closed way before they sent it lo. See, NUS is SLOW! Anyway, my complaint today is not about the efficiency of NUS but rather, they got my name wrong when they replied me. I dont mind if people spell my name wrongly like "Jiajui", "Jahui" or "Jiahai". That's because they dont know hanyu pinyin...but when people spell my name as BAO FANG(wtf), I will seriously get pissed off. How does my name remotely sound like BAO FANG?! Somemore, I sent that person an email and that means my name's printed nicely on the email and like that also still can get it wrong...SLEEPING is it?!

2 random photos before I end of this post because I'm sleepy and I want to sleep...Okay, I lied. I'm going to sleep after I watch Kamiji's drama. Lalala.

Went to the Inano Shrine Festival 2 weeks ago to do some promotion for the Halloween Party happening this Sunday. Dressed up as a dinosaur that day. Scared some random kid with my costume...yay! Everyone was pointing their fingers at me that day can! "Look! A dinosaur!".........-_____________-. At least I was a cute dinosaur. Heh.

Erm, I dont know why I bought this...haha. Whee~

Okay, till next time!

What I've been up to...

Havent been blogging in a while because I was pretty busy...not with schoolwork but because I went to Korea to watch the 2008 Asia Song Festival. Whee~ I'm so happy that I have Fridays off because it means that I have a total of 3 days off in a week and I can go travelling during that period. Then again, I need money to do that. Can anyone please donate to the "Sponsor Jiahui to go travelling" fund? Hehe.......Wait, nobody wants to donate because it's not for a good cause? Hmmm, then I shall change the name to "Feed Jiahui" fund. Sounds better? Donate hor! :D

Anyway, I met up with Jiyoon and Josephine, participants of the 2008 Hiroshima and Peace(H&P) course, in Korea. (Yar, I know that I havent blogged about my Hiroshima trip yet...lalala.) I'm glad that they actually took some time off to meet up with me. So touched! Shall blog about the trip in detail the next time though, and of course, with pictures of my new love, TVXQ, who was one of the performers of the 2008 Asia Song Festival. Whee~ Anyone who hasnt watched their Mirotic PV go watch it okay! The song's fucking addictive and the dance is like...*swoons*

So anyway, besides going to school for 4 days a week, I've been going shopping and shopping and shopping to the extent that I'm pretty poor now. Boo hoo. Met up with Yuri, another participant of the 2008 H&P course, last month. We went to Umeda Kagetsu to watch comedians do their stuff. It was pretty good and not to mention relatively cheap.

Yuri and her freaking big backpack that she brought to Germany. I cant belive that she only had one piece of luggage! Somemore it's the kind that you cant drag along.

Me at the main gate of Kwansei Gakuin University(KGU).

Shoko, Nanako and Me. Shoko and Nanako are my Nihongo partners who are supposed to meet up with me once a week to erm, talk to me so as to allow me to improve my Japanese. Then again, I havent seen them since the end of orientation. I seriously think that I'm the only one who doesnt meet up with her Nihongo partners. Everyone's like having weekly lunches with their Nihongo partners...everyone except me that is. =(

The school brought us to visit Himeji Castle and Koukoen during orientation. So nice of them!!! Himeji Castle was really pretty but it was a pity that we did not have enough time to explore everything there.

Me at Himeji Castle=D, see how happy I am! ...Okay, I just wanted an excuse to upload a picture of myself. Lalala.

After visiting the castle, we had a wonderful Japanese lunch. There was like OMG so much food but I finished up everything anyway. Must be kiasu and eat everything or else bo hua!

Wing and this guy-whom-I-do-not-know-his-name outside Koukoen, holding KGU banners and pretening to erm...fight?

Dead frog that we saw at Koukoen. Normal girls go "EEEW" when they see dead animals but Wing and I were like busy snapping photos of the dead frog. Heh.

Tiffany and I under the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, which you cant see in this photo. Haha.

Met up with Mari, yet another H&P participant, in Sannomiya.

Went to the Ikuta Shrine, the shrine that Jinnai Tomonori and Fujiwara Norika got married in.

We also went to the Kobe Port and it was freaking cold over there. I got a shock when I walked passed this statue because I thought that it was real for a moment. wtf.

The night view of Kobe...which is supposed to be really pretty but thanks to my "superb" photography skills, the beauty of Kobe couldnt be captured down properly.

Went karaoke-ing with my host sister and mother one night. Sang for about 2 hours and were about to leave when host father called to say that he's coming. Everyone thought that he's coming to pick us up so we walked out to the main road to make it easier for him to pick us up. However, when we reached home, we realised that he was all dressed up, i.e., not in pajamas. Oops, did he want to sing with us too?

Went to Tianyi's(exchange student from China) house the evening before because his host family held a welcome party for him. So nice of them and also so nice of him to invite me along! Made a few new friends there=D I seriously think that I'm the only one who has like really little friends. Seriously, I can count the number of new friends I've made here with my fingers lo...wtf...I am anti-social. Anyway, this' a picture of me and Tianyi's host family. His host mother is like damn pretty can!

Trevor, Mr. Tanimoto, Tianyi, Me, Kayoko, Tsubo, Chris
Mr. Tanimoto used to work in Singapore so he was telling me about his life in Singapore that day. He even met Le Kuan Yew and Goh Chok Tong before can! I've never seen them in real life before and I'm a Singaporean. -___-.

So yup, this ends the recent updates of my life. I promise to update more, especially on the 2008 Asia Song Festival=D...hehe. More pictures as follows.
Out with Yuri, School and at Umeda
Himeji Castle and Koukoen
Out with Mari and Karaoke
Tianyi's Party
