Sucky Day

| | TrackBacks (0)
It's only about 2pm but I already had an extremely sucky day today. No thanks to those people whom I met today.

Since I had to wait an hour before my first class started, I decided to make a trip to the library to photostat my JS2224 readings. The librarians were having some meeting or something and they were all talking loudly in the library. -_- Arent librarians supposed to shush people and not talk loudly among themselves? Anyway, whatever. That was not one of the reasons for my very sucky day. The sucky part began when I inserted my cashcard into the printer's card reader. Normally, the card slides in smoothy when you push it in but today, it wasn't smooth at all and in fact, my card got stuck. Damn. Went to the counter for help and this nice lady came over to help me. She tried to switch off and on the power switch, pressed the eject button and even tried to use a tweezer to take my card out but to no avail. Time was ticking and I had lesser and lesser time to photostat the vast amount of readings. She told me that the printer is usable, just that the cashcard's stuck and told me to go ahead with the printing. I placed my handphone and cashcard pouch on the printer tray which I wont be using at all. Halfway through printing, another lady, whom I assume to be either the printer expert or that nice lady's boss, came to me saying (shouting), 'GOT DEDUCT MONEY OR NOT?!'Apparently to her, if the cashcard's stuck, money might not get deducted from it and that means that I'm printing for free. Of course, they cant give me paper and ink for free (although it's their fucking printer's fault). In her hurry to try eject my cashcard, she went to LIFT THE TRAY WHICH MY HANDPHONE WAS ON...so as to allow her to reach for the power switch. My phone almost fell to the ground because of her. Fuck. She didnt even say sorry. So anyway, she managed to eject my cashcard and re-inserted it in for me. Continued printing...realised that after a certain amount of pages that I printed, the cashcard stopped deducting money...which meant that...my cashcard's stuck AGAIN. Being a nice person, I continued and finished printing my stuff before telling the nice lady that my cashcard's stuck again. :D In fact, I think it's still stuck now. Wonder when will they call me to pick up my cashcard.

With a little time left after printing, I went to the JS Office to pick up the application forms for SEP. Why cant that school put the application forms online?! Apparently, that school still hasnt sent the forms to NUS yet...-_- NUS' deadline for handing in the forms is like approaching soon lo! :(

After school, walked in the freaking hot sun to Citibank to open a savings account with my mother. Few days back, my mum called this Citibank guy to ask him for application forms so that we can fill them up. I seriously dont get the point of printing out application forms yourself, then bringing those forms to the bank to open an account. I mean, since you have to go to the bank anyway, waste their papers la! Why waste your own? One thing I cant stand is the online application thing. What's the fucking use of online application when you need to print them out so that you can sign on them? Defeats the purpose of the word ONLINE. So anyway, the Citibank guy told my mum that it's ok for me to open an account that requires clients to be at least 21 years of age although I'm not 21 yet. Reason was because I'll turn 21 soon anyway. Went down to the bank in the sweltering weather, got told that I cant open the account, felt extremely pissed. All because of their ignorant Joseph Lee guy, I made a fruitless trip. Asshole.

All because of that stupid Citibank employee, I went to POSB to open an account instead. The lady tried to convince us to sign up for this minimum ten years account. There are risks with this account because it's like an investment account. Not sure what the account is about anyway. The lady explained like never explain like that...and her tone was seriously damn haolian. When my mum asked her how the bank will use the funds to invest, she replied, 'Invest lar! Different kinds.' Thanks alot bitch. Next my mum asked how risky it was because there's something called high-risk and low-risk. She replied, 'Every investment also got risks.' Thanks, not helping at all. Decided to sign up for 2 accounts. One was the one that she was trying to promote and another one was the MySavings account. Asked her several times if I need to fill up the MySavings account but she ignored me because she was trying to print out the other account's application form. She didnt even offer me a pen to fill up the form. So ya, she printed out the application and started to explain to us the details. Fuck you. Only when we say that we want to sign up then she made an effort to explain. Anyway, the terms didnt sound that attractive so we decline signing up. It's our choice whether we want to sign up or not but she went 'I know you dont want to sign up because of the application costs (or some other costs, cant remember exactly) right!' WTF. Hated her fucking arrogant tone and her I-will-serve-you-only-if-you-will-sign-up-for-an-account attitude. I think they get commisson for that account because she looked pissed when we told her that we will just sign up for the MySavings account. On a form that she asked us to sign, she did not offer us a pen. Isnt it common sense to offer your customers a pen when you request their signatures?! Anyway, wanted to give her a 'Need Improvement' rating but my mother told me not to do so because she didnt want to get her into trouble. -_- WTF?! Hopes she get fired soon anyway.

So yup, sucky day. Hope that the later half of the day will be better.

Anmitsu Hime

Finally got down to watching Anmitsu Hime. Although the show was set in the olden days, the introduction of modern elements made the show funny and interesting. The dessert-based names of the characters made me laugh like mad. It also helped that Koide Keisuke was in the show too :D He's like getting more and more handsome by the day. It's so not fair! Another person who made me feel unfair is...:

So beautiful can!

How can anyone be this pretty? I'm not talking about Inoue Mao(the girl on the left) here...although she's quite cute too.

The reason why I say that this person made me feel unfair is because...this person is a GUY...who doesnt look too bad either when he isnt dressed up as a woman. Somemore his voice is damn sexy~ Heh.

Saotome Taichi. ^_^ I am so jealous of you!

Can you believe that this guy is like 49 this year?! Japanese really do have a way of retaining their youthful looks and I want the secret!!! Someone please steal it for me?

Totally pointless post but...hee~ whatever.

SHOPPING with Donna

| | TrackBacks (0)
Today was shopping day~! Met up with Donna at around 11am and proceeded to our first stop...Far East Plaza. Reached there at about 12 plus and shockingly, most shops on level 1 were still closed. Still on holiday? Unlike the rowdy Far East Plaza that I hate, Far East Plaza was surprisingly quiet today. Didnt have to say a single 'Excuse me please' at all today. So happy that there were no crowds at all! Hehe. Walked a few rounds around level 1 but didnt buy anything at all. Cannot make it! What kind of shopping is this? Since we were both hungry, we decided to have lunch first before starting to prowl the shops again.

Ate at SU Korean Restaurant.

Was flipping through the menu to see what to eat when we came across this dish called BBQ Chicken Gizzard. However, the Chinese name for that dish was 'kao ya shen', which basically means BBQ Duck Kidney. So...is the dish chicken or duck? Or a mixture of two? Hmmm.

To solve the mystery, Donna ordered the the non-BBQ version of it. Determined that it was chicken after eating it. Okay, I lied, we are not that good at tasting what kind of meat that was. We cheated by asking the waitress...who seemed confused as well.

Love Korean restaurants because you can basically get full just by eating the side dishes only. The kimchi was a tad too spicy for my liking. Loved the rest though.

Ordered the set lunch version of ddeokboki. The amount of ingredients was a little pathetic. No fishcake, one miserable piece of meat and lots of ddeok. Maybe because it was cheaper than the non-set-lunch version? So they had to cut back on the ingredients? Nevertheless, this dish was good.

Ordered Korean Seafood Pancake as well. Damn crispy and tasty...although not much ingredients were in it.

Nearing to the end of lunch, I saw Li Ming and her mom enter the restaurant. Tried to call her but she didnt pick up her phone. :( Anyway, after lunch, we went to Wisma to SHOP. After what seemed like eternity of trying on clothes, I finally bought myself new garb! So happy although it wasnt that cheap...and I used my own money somemore. Went to Topshop to look at clothes too but didnt get anything there. Saw this freaking long by Kate Moss dress that was seriously taller than Donna and me. Discrimination against short people lo...the dress. :( Next up was Dorothy Perkins and I bought something there again! On the verge of going broke le...who wants to support me? Hehe.

Walked a little more and because my puny brain told me to wear heels today, my legs were aching like mad. Couldnt tahan it anymore and hence, went to buy a pair of nice slippers. Wanted to change into slippers in the toilet but was too tired and lazy to walk to the toilet so I just changed my shoes...right infront of some Takashimaya office. Wonder if the CCTV caught me changing shoes or not? So paiseh!

Took a rest at Royal Copenhagen.

Donna's Roasted Mushroom Soup.

I asked the lady what kind of cakes she had and she replied to me that I have to go the front counter to see for myself. As I was seated like miles away from the front counter and my legs were wobbly from all that walking, I pleaded with her to just name me a few and I just chose the one that she mentioned first. Got laughed at by her but whatever la, I am that lazy. Haha. Delicious blueberry cheesecake.

Royal Copenhagen Iced Tea. The waitress asked me if I wanted sweetener and I replied no. She has this look of disbelief and asked me another time. My response was negative. Sorry lo, not everyone adds sweetener to their tea. I like the original taste of the tea. Am I weird? Hmmm.

Went to Push and Bear to shop for Donna's top and Donna made her first purchase of the day there! I also saw the first eye-candy of the day there too! So happy~ Went to Gramophone(dont know how to spell the CD shop's name) to look at CDs. Sat down to rest inside and decided to take photos together. Something that we've never done before...according to Donna.

Take 1. FAIL. Too far apart.

Take 2. Much better. :D

Next up was HMV. Some teenager was listening to the songs on display there via headphones and she was singing out loud at the same time!!! OMG, never knew that people actually did that. Worse still, she was totally out of tune and we had no idea what she was singing. While singing, she was looking around to see if anyone was admiring her beautiful vocals. OMG...made me laugh like mad. Someone please hand her a Singapore Idol application form. She's our answer to America's William Hung. :D

Walked around Hereen after leaving HMV and decided to take neoprints. Eh...there was like only a few people there lo! Normally I would have to queue up to take neoprints but there was not a single queue there today. In addition to that, lots of shops around the neoprint shop are no longer in business. Man, I really have not been to Hereen in like AGES. Didnt even know they had a little walkway leading to the neoprint shop.

Freaking empty. Orchard area was freaking empty today. Even Lot 1 had more crowd. WTF?!

Okay, now onto the neoprints that we took.

Like the background alot.

Shit...my hair was messy.

Aaaah!!! Save us~! -_-

A bit out of season though...haha

Peace peace~

Hanabi~!

Edit: Eh Donna, we took a photo together before can. On the day of Baccalaurete Service in ACJC. Remember this? :D

Okay, I think I shall stop with the first time stuff because there's just too many. I wont write the bad stuff part because...why would I want to remember it? So anyway, let me move on to the resolutions part.

1. Get a boyfriend (kidding)
2. Save money to go Japan and Korea
3. Be a nicer person (note that I wrote 'nicer')
4. Try to at least study for exams

Cant think of anymore. Will add in somemore later if I think of any. :D

Happy New Year ppl! I accept ang pows if you are planning to give out. Cheers~
